| Mission Statement | |||||
The Mission of the Spokane Public Market shall be to establish a regional year-round public market as an educational and cultural center near downtown Spokane where farmers, artisans, and value-added food producers can sell directly to the public. To function as a small business incubator for our vendors. To provide an economic and aesthetic stimulus to our surrounding neighborhoods and promote sensitivity to our environment. |

| Vision Statement | |||||
We envision the Spokane Public Market being part of a central community gathering and meeting place close to the downtown Spokane business core. It will be a place where the community can interact with regional food and farm producers, artisans and other unique small businesses which produce products that celebrate the creativity and vitality of the Northwest. We envision the space housing business development agencies and commercial kitchen space that will allow food-based businesses to demonstrate new products and produce other value added food products on a small scale. We envision the Spokane Public Market being part of a business development core that offers emerging and other small businesses synergistic space to test their business models and products. We envision space that allows artisans to demonstrate and market their products. We envision the Spokane Public Market and the spaces around it as not only an economic development tool that improves both the urban and rural economies, but also as an educational tool, teaching producers how to build their businesses and add value to local products, and teaching area residents about nutrition, cooking and cuisine, agriculture, and our connection with nature. |
